Anyone that books a hunt with us receives a list of suggested gear to bring with them. Sea duck hunting in Maine can encompass many different temperature ranges. It is always best to plan for the most extreme conditions while planning for your hunt. Depending on the time of year you decide to hunt sea ducks, the temperature can range from the 70’s in October to negative numbers in late December and January.
Aside from the obvious of shotgun and ammo, the most important thing to bring with you is warm waterproof clothing. Most of todays waterfowl gear is set up to handle adverse conditions. Layering is the best way to stay warm and prepared for changing condition. It is much better to have the clothing and not need it than vice versa.
Don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions and we will be glad to discuss what is needed to make your hunt with us comfortable.
